2. Service Description

Skip Hire Shortlands offers a range of skip sizes to accommodate various waste removal needs. Our services include the delivery of a skip to the Client's specified location, collection of waste, and responsible disposal in accordance with local regulations.

2.1 Skip Sizes

• Mini Skip - Suitable for small domestic projects.
• Midi Skip - Ideal for medium-sized residential or commercial jobs.
• Large Skip - Best for extensive construction or demolition projects.

3. Booking and Cancellation

To secure a skip hire, Clients must make a booking through our designated channels. A deposit may be required to confirm the reservation.

3.1 Booking Process

1. Contact Skip Hire Shortlands with your requirements.
2. Receive a quote based on the skip size and rental period.
3. Confirm booking by providing necessary details and payment.

3.2 Cancellation Policy

Clients may cancel their booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled delivery without incurring any fees. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the delivery time may be subject to a cancellation fee.

4. Payment Terms

All payments for skip hire services must be made in full by the due date specified in the invoice. We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards and bank transfers.

4.1 Late Payments

Any payments not received by the due date will be considered late. A late fee may be applied to overdue accounts, and services may be suspended until payment is received.

5. Use of Skips

Clients are responsible for the proper use of the skip provided. The skip must not be overloaded or used to dispose of prohibited items.

5.1 Prohibited Items

• Hazardous materials such as asbestos, chemicals, and paints.
• Explosives, firearms, and ammunition.
• Biological waste including medical and animal waste.
• Electrical appliances and batteries.

5.2 Weight Restrictions

Each skip has a maximum weight capacity. Clients must not exceed this limit to prevent accidents and additional charges.

6. Delivery and Collection

Skip Hire Shortlands will deliver the skip to the specified location at the agreed-upon time. Collection will occur at the end of the rental period unless earlier requested by the Client.

6.1 Access Requirements

The delivery and placement of the skip require sufficient access to the site. Clients must ensure that the location is accessible and safe for skip placement.

6.2 Site Restrictions

We reserve the right to refuse delivery or collection at sites that do not meet safety standards or violate local regulations.

7. Liability

Skip Hire Shortlands is not liable for any damage caused to the Client's property during the delivery or collection of the skip, provided that reasonable precautions are taken.

7.1 Insurance

Clients are encouraged to have appropriate insurance coverage for the duration of the skip hire period to cover any potential damages or losses.

8. Termination

These Terms and Conditions may be terminated by either party with written notice. Upon termination, the Client must return the skip in good condition, subject to any applicable fees.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Skip Hire Shortlands operates. Any disputes arising from the use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that area.

10. Amendments

Skip Hire Shortlands reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. We collect and process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions.

12. Force Majeure

Skip Hire Shortlands shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms and Conditions due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of war, or regulatory changes.

13. Severability
